Please Note: The City of Colorado Springs owns and staffs the Uncle Wilber Fountain, and occasionally experiences staff shortages that affect their ability to keep the Fountain open. This is particularly true during the last weeks of the summer. Unexpected maintenance issues and weather can also cause the Fountain to close temporarily. For questions regarding Fountain closures, please contact Deb Barry of the Colorado Springs Parks & Rec Aquatics division at 385-6035.

Uncle Wilber Fountain Rules and Regulations

•	Please be considerate of others while using the fountain.
•	Do not run within the fountain plaza.
•	For their own safety, children must not be left unattended.
•	Very young children must wear swim diapers and other clothing.
•	Do not drink the water from the fountain! Fountain water is consistently recirculated and is intended for body contact only.
•	Water toys not allowed within the fountain area.
•	Bicycles, in-line skates, and skateboards may not be used within the fountain or on the fountain plaza.
•	Animals not allowed in the fountain.
•	Appropriate footwear is recommended for foot traction and protection.
•	The Colorado Police Department may be notified of any personal safety concerns at 444.7000. In an emergency, call 911.
•	Hours of Operation Subject to change without notice. The Fountain does not operate during inclement weather I.E. Lightning, rain, high wind, etc.

Location
The Uncle Wilber Fountain is located in downtown Colorado Springs' Acacia Park at the corner of Bijou and Tejon streets. There is no fee for enjoying the fountain, but donations are accepted.

Notice to Uncle Wilber patrons: please park in the city garage on the corner of bijou and cascade. It's only one block away and the rates are the same as the parking meters. Parking in the city garage helps the downtown merchants by freeing much needed parking for shoppers. And access to Uncle Wilber is safer since you don't have to cross three lanes of traffic. You can relax and enjoy the fountain since you can park in the shade of the garage for as long as you like and not worry about your meter! Uncle Wilber and the downtown merchants appreciate your efforts and thank you for your cooperation!
